AI Project Brief Builder
Write down the goal, the deliverable, the limits and what “done” means before an AI starts work. The tool turns your answers into one brief you can paste into any AI assistant or hand to a colleague.
This tool processes your inputs in this browser tab without sending or persistently storing them. Reloading or closing the page clears the form, so copy or download your brief first. This describes the tool’s input processing; the website may make other requests or use cookies.
How to use it
- Write the goal first. If you cannot say what the work is for, the AI will guess. Start there.
- Describe the result you want back.Format, length and reader. A brief that names the reader gets a usable draft sooner.
- Set limits and approval points.List what it must not do and where it should stop and ask you.
- Define done, then copy.Write checks another person could confirm. Then copy or download the brief and paste it into the AI you use.
What to do with the brief
- Paste it as the first message of a new conversation, before any files or follow-up questions.
- Keep the downloaded file with the work. When the result comes back, check it line by line against “Done means”.
- If the AI asks a question the brief should have answered, add the answer to the brief for next time.
Worked example
A manager has to decide by Friday whether to renew a 40-page software contract. She asks an AI for a one-page summary she can trust enough to forward.
What this tool does not do
- It does not send anything to an AI. You paste the brief yourself.
- It does not judge, rank or compare AI tools.
- It does not check whether the AI followed the brief. Use the AI Completion Record to review the result.
- It does not save your answers.
